Cancer Care 2040 - Can We Handle the Pressure? New Working Methods for a Sustainable Future
Sweden faces a sharp increase in cancer patients - an increase of 40 percent by 2040. At the same time, healthcare must manage resources efficiently, improve working conditions for staff, and enhance patients' quality of life. How can we think innovatively about care models and collaboration to meet the future? How do we create more cost-effective cancer care?
Vision Zero Cancer presents a new report showing how advanced cancer treatments can be moved closer to patients - from hospitals to homes - without compromising quality and safety. We also discuss the groundbreaking Gränby project, where Region Uppsala, in collaboration with several pharmaceutical companies and healthcare providers, has taken important steps toward decentralized and person-centered cancer care.
The seminar brings together leading voices in healthcare, politics, and patient organizations to discuss:
• How do we create more cost-effective and accessible cancer care?
• What leadership is required to drive change?
• How can obstacles like regulations and reimbursement models be overcome?
• What can national and regional actors do today?
