Measurement and monitoring of equality parameters - the path to equitable cancer care

How can we ensure that all patients, regardless of background and place of residence, have access to the best possible cancer care? The importance of equal care through measurement, follow-up, and analysis of various healthcare parameters.

We follow the patient's journey through cancer care - from diagnosis and treatment to rehabilitation - and examine how access to care varies and what consequences this has. Through concrete examples, we highlight the inequalities that exist at different stages of care. During the seminar, we discuss:

  • The importance of modern treatments and broad genomic profiling for more precise and effective care.

  • How continuous follow-up can detect relapses in time and improve quality of life through appropriate rehabilitation efforts.

  • How better data collection and analysis can reduce healthcare disparities and contribute to more equitable cancer care.

We conclude with a discussion on concrete improvement proposals and priorities for future research and development. This seminar is part of Cancer Mission Day and is organized by All.Can Sweden.
